Job Title: Construction and Projects Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction and Projects Manager to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the tender process, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and providing technical support to our estimating teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the tender process from receipt of the tender enquiry to submission, ensuring the accurate costing and risk appraisal.
  • Provide technical input on groundworks, temporary works, building superstructure, internal fit-out, and coordination of the tender return.
  • Review and write linked programs in MPP, taking into account key activities and phasing requirements.
  • Manage initial design to ensure sufficient detail is available to develop the tender.
  • Support the estimating team in collating and producing a technical query schedule.
  • Produce logistical and site plans to ensure areas of consideration are known and visible during the tender process.
  • Develop a quality submission, including detailed methodology, logistical plans, health and safety information, personnel experience, phasing information, program detail, case studies, and relevant information specific to the tender enquiry.
Requirements:
  • A recognized industry qualification at HNC or above in Construction.
  • A full driving license, valid in the UK.
  • Demonstrable operational and technical construction experience and knowledge.
  • Proficiency in programming software and development of literature to clearly articulate the delivery strategy at the pre-construction phase.
  • Great teamwork and customer-focused outlook with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Sound commercial understanding and risk management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of current H&S practices.
  • Be personable and a good communicator with a positive outlook.
  • Great organizational skills, capable of delivering up to four like-for-like schemes running simultaneously.
  • Flexible in approach, with the ability to support the wider operational departments within the business.
  • Great communicator with exceptional customer focus to encourage long-term working relationships.
