Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Endoscopy Specialist to join our esteemed Endoscopy department. This full-time position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern to accommodate the needs of our patients.

Salary:
Competitive salary package based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, planned care throughout the endoscopy patient journey, collaborating with the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead to ensure effective management and organization of care within the unit.
  • Administer care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, adhering to your professional scope of practice.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards for flexible endoscopy services, including decontamination and clinical care.
  • Continuously develop and enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Uphold the dignity, privacy, wishes, and beliefs of all patients.
  • Engage in departmental communication, policy formulation, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • Proven experience in leading a clinical team.
  • Current registration as a Practitioner with NMC or HCPC.
  • Basic and advanced qualifications in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
  • Completion of an Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
  • Teaching, assessing, or mentorship qualifications.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory bodies.
  • Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2.
  • Proficiency in using a PC and relevant software applications.
