The Pheasant at Buckland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading kitchen operations, collaborating with the Head Chef, and maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they meet the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Monitor and control kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal use and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Proven track record of leading kitchen teams and improving food quality and presentation.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
