A highly regarded law firm in Central Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its team.

About the Role
  • Advise clients on a broad range of matters, including will drafting, estate administration, and Court of Protection work.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and provide holistic advice on tax planning, trusts administration, and elderly client matters.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including accountants and financial advisers, to provide comprehensive advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Will drafting, including advising on and completing straightforward Wills, Trusts (IPDI, Disabled Person and Discretionary Trust), and tax implications.
  • Estate administration from start to finish, including intestate estates, and dealing with Inheritance Tax, income tax, and capital gains tax issues.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
  • Court of Protection work.
  • Elderly Client matters.
  • Capacity Issues.
  • Tax planning.
  • Trusts administration.
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic and friendly individual with good academics and previous people management experience.
  • STEP membership is a distinct advantage, as is experience of working in a busy private client department.
