We are seeking a Logistics Controller to support the onsite operations on a contractual basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Logistics Controller will oversee and report on all inventory activities to achieve reliable targets aimed at optimizing inventory levels and associated costs within the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Act as the escalation point between production and suppliers delivering directly to the point of use.
  • Manage the requirements of manufacturing units as defined in the ERP system, adhering to established inventory protocols.
  • Coordinate the organization and storage of inventory for components used in manufacturing, focusing on planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist logistics personnel in ensuring the accuracy of inventory movements, including urgent deliveries and scrap processing.
  • Implement controls to manage inventory discrepancies, physical movements, and waste management procedures.
  • Alert internal and external schedulers upon identifying inventory discrepancies.
  • Conduct cycle counts within the manufacturing unit for all raw materials and components, including Kanban bins.
  • Evaluate and analyze inventory performance in collaboration with internal and external schedulers using defined metrics.
  • Investigate root causes of performance metrics not meeting targets and collaborate with manufacturing units to develop improvement plans.
  • Oversee the dispatch and receipt processes for subcontracting as necessary.
  • Lead improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics flows and storage efficiency.
  • Conduct stock takes, audits, and assessments.
  • Implement projects to enhance delivery performance.
  • Manage supplier transportation, documentation, and requests.
  • Maintain adherence to logistics guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Comprehensive understanding of production processes and the supply chain.
  • Expertise in MRP2 processes.
  • Familiarity with the market dynamics of Safran Group products.
  • Experience in inventory management and best practices.
  • Knowledge of customs and transportation regulations.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Tools: Proficient in supply chain information systems, including ERP and Supplier Portals; adept with desktop applications.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex issues, summarize findings, and propose solutions; capable of interpreting information from various departments; skilled in assessing the significance of discrepancies and anticipating their implications.

Personal Attributes: Clear communicator, proactive, self-sufficient, meticulous, resilient, accountable.
