About the Role: The GB Retail Claims team operates within the broader Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) Business Unit. Our diverse team, located in various regions, collaborates closely with multiple departments to ensure exceptional client service.

As a member of this dynamic team, you will encounter a variety of tasks daily, managing claims from initiation to resolution. The types of claims you will handle include:

  • Employers Liability
  • Public Liability
  • Personal Injury
  • Property Damage
  • Occupational Disease
  • Traditional Claims
  • Motor Claims
  • Uninsured Loss Recovery

Essential Functions:

To excel in this position, you will be expected to provide high-quality claims service to all clients, ensuring that the following Key Client Outcomes are achieved:

  • Allocation Management: Oversee a select group of intricate claims across various categories, including Employers Liability, Public Liability, and personal injury cases.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of industry-specific regulations, including Occupiers Liability, ERRA, Six Pack, Apportionment tables, and relevant case law.
  • KPI/SLA Oversight: Monitor performance metrics and take necessary actions to meet established service standards, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial processes, including reserving and payment authorization.
  • Client Engagement: Address daily client inquiries effectively, uphold company values, and lead client meetings as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in internal and external audits, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and manage the audit process.
  • Mentorship and Development: Provide training and support to team members, identify coaching needs, and manage the training resources.
  • Specialized Roles: Act as a point of escalation for specialized functions such as fraud management and litigation.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct detailed claims analysis to identify trends and insights.
