Job Title: Senior Flood Risk Management Modeller
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Flood Risk Management Modeller to join our team at Advance Training & Recruitment Services. As a Senior Flood Risk Management Modeller, you will be responsible for leading and undertaking projects in flood risk management, utilizing your expertise in hydraulic modelling, data analysis, and GIS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake and lead detailed technical work involving hydraulic modelling, data analysis, GIS, and technical reporting.
- Take on a quality assurance role for technical deliverables.
- Support project managers and directors by following project procedures, including financial and change control.
- Work effectively as part of a team and with other professionals to provide a consistent and integrated service to clients.
- Support business development activities, including tendering for projects and client/stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to the continued development of the Flood Risk Team via active involvement in the technical network.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in carrying out flood risk analyses for strategy, planning, development, and/or design purposes.
- GIS skills in ArcGIS, MapInfo, or QGIS.
- The ability to use professional judgement to make robust decisions with the information available.
- A track record of project delivery and performance, meeting client requirements and commercial awareness.
- Use of other software, such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW/ESTRY, or HEC-RAS, is an advantage.
- Civil engineering design experience to help solve flooding problems is also valued.
