Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to lead our Residential Support Workers in providing a high-quality living experience for young people in our care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of our young people are met, managing and leading a team, and promoting a positive and safe living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Residential Support Workers to provide a high-quality living experience for young people in our care.
- Ensure the needs of our young people are met, and their views, wishes, and feelings are respected.
- Manage and supervise Residential Support Workers, delivering regular supervision and support.
- Comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures, and have an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
- Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, and other professional agencies.
- Assist in the development and delivery of young people's Plans, and support the reviewing and monitoring process.
- Play an active part in promoting anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices, and comply with legislation and company policies on Health & Safety, Fire, and Data Protection.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Good overall standard of education.
- Working towards or hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
- Previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
- Good report writing and numeracy skills, well-organized with good administration skills, and IT literate.
- Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of childcare and achieving the best outcomes for young people in their care.
- Strong motivational, management, and leadership potential, able to supervise, support, and develop Residential Support Workers to create a cohesive team.
