Family Liaison Officer

Job Summary
Initio Learning Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Liaison Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students and their families, promoting attendance and engagement in education.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and carers to identify and address attendance and engagement issues.
Conduct home visits and provide support to families to promote attendance and engagement in education.
Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement strategies to improve attendance and engagement.
Provide information, advice, and guidance to students and their families on education and career opportunities.
Attend and participate in meetings with external agencies to discuss student attendance and engagement.
Requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Knowledge of education and child development principles.
Working Arrangements
The Family Liaison Officer will work across all schools in the Initio Learning Trust, providing support to students and their families. The role will involve flexible working hours, including some evening and weekend work.
