We are seeking an experienced and chemotherapy-competent Band 6 Nurse to join our nurse-led service, providing chemotherapy, supportive therapies, and apheresis to patients with Haemato-Oncology and Solid Cancer.
Main Duties- Provide high-quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans in conjunction with the inter-professional team.
- Act as a professional role model and clinical teacher, providing effective mentorship and supervision to nursing and non-nursing staff.
- Liaise closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure seamless care delivery and take charge of the Day Care Unit as required.
- Coordinate treatment production and dispensary, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.

Person Specification- Essential criteria: registrant with NMC, chemotherapy certification, mentorship course, and specialist relevant clinical course.
- Desirable criteria: leadership programme or equivalent, degree or working towards first degree, and chemotherapy course.
- Essential criteria: evidence of proficient clinical skills in SACT care, proficient communication, understanding of reflective practice, and evidence of critical thinking and initiative.
