Our client is a prominent manufacturer in the automotive sector, seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to enhance their operations in North Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, and contributing to site enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain all machinery and facilities.
- Address breakdowns, identify issues, and implement solutions to minimize production interruptions.
- Diagnose faults and perform maintenance and repairs on various plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to propose and execute actions aimed at boosting productivity, processes, and quality across all machinery and facilities.
- Assist in managing spare parts and consumables inventory to reduce downtime.
- Keep accurate records related to maintenance activities.
- Provide training to operators on the safe operation of production equipment as needed.
- Conduct safety checks at the beginning of each shift to ensure all safety features on assigned equipment are operational.
Qualifications:
- Engineering qualifications or Apprenticeship
- Essential Electrical qualification
- Multi-skilled capabilities
