We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional help to manage their behaviour and emotions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide targeted support to pupils with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively in their learning.
- Develop and implement individual behaviour plans and interventions in collaboration with the SENCO and class teachers.
- Monitor pupil progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural needs, in a school or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
- A supportive and friendly working environment.
- Opportunities for professional development and training.
- Term-time only working hours, providing a great work-life balance.
