Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as the Administrator of the Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics and lead the School of Physics & Astronomy events team.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) that requires a strong administrative background and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating events, managing communications, and providing strategic input to senior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate events, conferences, and meetings for the Higgs Centre and School of Physics & Astronomy
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide administrative support to senior colleagues and manage day-to-day operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of funds
Requirements:
- Relevant administrative experience, preferably in a higher education or research institution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative software
