NHS Grampian is seeking dedicated professionals for the role of Senior Pediatric Consultant, located within a leading children's healthcare facility. This position involves participation in the Consultant out-of-hours rota for Medical Paediatrics, alongside responsibilities as the Consultant of the week on a rotational basis.

The facility is equipped with a comprehensive range of services, featuring a total of 93 beds dedicated to specialized inpatient and outpatient care in Medical Paediatrics and its various sub-specialties, including General Paediatric Surgery, Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery, ENT, Dermatology, Orthodontics, Ophthalmology, Clinical Genetics, and Child and Family Psychiatry. Additionally, the Department of Community Child Health and a specialized Child Protection suite are integral parts of the facility.

With a robust Accident and Emergency Department operating under direct Consultant supervision, the pediatric service handles approximately 8,000 annual attendances, with a significant portion being acute admissions. The pediatric team comprises 22 Medical and Surgical Consultants, 10 Associate Specialists, 2 Specialty Doctors, and 15 RCPCH Trainees, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment.

Applicants trained in the UK should provide evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be nearing confirmation for entry on the GMC Specialist Register. Alternatively, candidates should possess a CESR / CESR (CP).
