About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elderly Medicine Consultant to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist medical care to patients with complex elderly care needs
  • Conduct ward rounds and attend dedicated multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Participate in outpatient clinics, virtual clinics, and home visits
  • Contribute to teaching and training programs for junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
  • Engage in regular audit, data collection, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient care and improve outcomes
Requirements
  • Eligibility to register with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT/CESR/ECR
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills
