EC&I Technician Job Opportunity

Astute People is partnering with a Combined Heat and Power facility in Cumbria to recruit an EC&I Technician for its Fellside site.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EC&I Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems, as well as ensuring strict HSE compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault finding, installing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems.
  • Calibrating and loop checking instruments related to the site's DCS/control systems.
  • Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS).
  • Assisting in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS.
  • Supervising and directing on-site contractors when required.
Requirements
  • A recognized EC&I engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3/HNC or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of maintenance on controls and instrumentation equipment.
  • At least 4 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment, such as a power station, refinery, or chemical plant.
