Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative with FLT to join our team based in a state-of-the-art distribution center. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of customer stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Processing Deliveries: Receive deliveries of customer stock from trailers into the warehouse, checking quantities and recording receipt.
  • Picking and Packing Orders: Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets, dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork.
  • Loading and Unloading Trailers: Load trailers with customer goods in a timely manner and unload trailers with incoming stock.
  • Inventory Management: Put away customer goods from the warehouse floor into the racking, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Manual Handling: Perform manual handling of products, including lifting, carrying, and placing stock.
  • Housekeeping and Quality Control: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including shelf dusting, gangway clearance, and litter removal.
  • Stock Integrity and Quality Checks: Conduct regular stock integrity and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • FLT License: Possess a valid license for either CB, Reach, or Flexi FLT.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Numeracy and Literacy: Possess basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to read and write accurately.
  • Professional Manner: Display a professional manner at all times, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Warehouse Experience: Have experience operating within a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work varying shifts and meet deadlines.
