Warehouse Operative with FLT - Nights

Menzies Distribution Limited is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative with FLT to join our team based in a state-of-the-art distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Processing Deliveries: Receive deliveries of customer stock from trailers into the warehouse, checking quantities and recording receipt.
  • Picking and Packing Orders: Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets, dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork.
  • Loading and Unloading Trailers: Load trailers with customer goods in a timely manner and unload trailers with incoming stock.
  • Inventory Management: Put away customer goods from the warehouse floor into the racking, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Manual Handling: Perform manual handling of products, including lifting, carrying, and placing stock.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to site safety requirements and protocols.
  • Quality Control: Conduct stock integrity and quality checks to ensure accuracy and quality of inventory.

Requirements:

  • FLT License: Possess a valid license for either CB, Reach, or Flexi FLT.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills, working effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals.
  • Basic Numeracy and Literacy: Possess basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to read and write accurately.
  • Professional Manner: Display a professional manner at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Warehouse Experience: Have experience operating within a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
