Job Title: Data Scientist for Battery Cell Research

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our client, a pioneer organisation in battery cell research and technology development. The successful candidate will deliver data insights that assess the impact of manufacturing variation on product performance, thereby determining control measures for critical parameters and process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop tools and platforms to streamline data delivery to customer programmes.
  2. Provide inputs to other analysis tools in the business, such as product and process simulation.
  3. Work with key stakeholders to receive feedback on data dashboard features, layout, and identify critical outputs to ensure data-driven decisions are made efficiently.
  4. Determine trends between manufacturing data and cell performance to inform and teach in-line checks, and supplement other predictive tools.
  5. Provide data to support simulation model development and carry out advanced analytics from large datasets generated by simulation to produce reduced order models.
Requirements:
  1. Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
  2. Relevant industry experience where advanced analytics is demonstrated, such as Automotive & Motorsport, Battery, or Semiconductor Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals & Biomedical, Retail & Web, or Finance.
  3. Advanced understanding of statistical methods, machine learning, and AI.
  4. Experience in using data visualisation software, such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
