Maintenance Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Engineer and take on a challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills.
This is a full-time, permanent position with day shift hours and an early finish on Fridays. The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary and a range of benefits, including 25 days' holiday.
The purpose of this role is to maintain all company plant and equipment in a good and safe working order, ensuring compliance with best practice. This involves a range of responsibilities, including:
Key Accountabilities- Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer
- Ensuring all equipment is compliant with legal requirements and liaising with insurance inspectors as necessary
- Updating registers and lists related to equipment and plant
- Testing fire alarms and emergency lighting at appropriate times
- Complying with Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Complying with environmental policies and procedures
- Investigating risks and issues with manufacturing challenges and developing short- and long-term plans
- Organizing planned and scheduled repairs with the Logistics Manager and Chief Maintenance Engineer
- Updating KPIs and reporting as agreed in BIC meetings
- Assisting with development projects with the Development Team
- Supervising staff and ensuring they have a planned workload
- Conducting appraisals with staff and reporting through the appraisal procedure
- Engineering, presses design, and construction
- Fabrication
- Electrical knowledge (18th Edition preferred)
- Maintenance engineer must keep maintenance records updated
- PPM and breakdown maintenance reports
