Maintenance Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Engineer and take on a challenging role that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time, permanent position with day shift hours and an early finish on Fridays. The successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary and a range of benefits, including 25 days' holiday.
The purpose of this role is to maintain all company plant and equipment in a good and safe working order, ensuring compliance with best practice and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is compliant with legal requirements and liaising with insurance inspectors as necessary.
- You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date registers and lists pertaining to equipment and plant, and ensuring that testing of fire alarms and emergency lighting is carried out at appropriate times.
- As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating risks and issues with manufacturing challenges, and developing short- and long-term plans to address these.
- You will work closely with the Logistics Manager and Chief Maintenance Engineer to plan and schedule repairs, and ensure that KPIs are updated and reported as agreed.
- Additionally, you will assist with development projects, such as oil systems and roller boxes, and supervise staff to ensure that they have a planned workload in place.
- You will also be responsible for appraising staff and reporting through the appraisal procedure.
- Engineering experience, with a focus on presses design and construction.
- Fabrication skills and knowledge of electrical systems (18th Edition preferred).
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, including PPM and breakdown maintenance reports.
