We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Naz Project London.
Job Summary:
The Financial Manager will be responsible for maintaining the financial position of the organization, developing new systems to strengthen the organization, and working with the management team to ensure strategic objectives are met.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for Naz's operations and review and develop policies and procedures to positively affect the Naz finance position.
- Prepare reports for the Board of Trustees on Naz finances as needed and work with the Executive Director of Programmes to ensure full cost recovery on each project.
- Ensure financial controls are maintained and improved as needed, including all aspects of financial record-keeping via QuickBooks, reconciling bank statements, and making out and tracking outgoing invoices to debtors.
- Drafting of organisational budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and preparation of financial management accounts/reports monthly and as needed.
- Manage all leases and contracts for central services and equipment, including reviewing and re-tendering where necessary and identifying and establishing new services.
- Control the Naz insurance portfolio, regularly reviewing activities and ensuring cover remains appropriate and that programme managers are aware of their responsibilities.
- Provide information to support applications for funding and as required by funders in regular monitoring and ad hoc queries.
- Maintain contact with auditors, prepare final accounts for auditing, and ensure timely completion of our annual financial audit.
Requirements:
- Minimum of AAT accounting qualification or studying towards a professional qualification eg ACCA, CIMA or similar.
- Able to demonstrate the links between finance information and relevant business needs/uses.
- Knowledge of not-for-profit organisations and small companies' statutory reporting requirements.
- Ability to use one or more computerised accounting packages.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office software, databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload.
