Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of front of house food and beverage operations, maintaining a fully functional environment, and providing on-the-job training for staff to raise service levels and maintain high standards. They will also be responsible for managing the front of house team, improving communication, and being proactive in preparation and delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Extend a warm welcome to guests and be proactive in improving awareness of their needs and environment.
  • Organise service and control service from opening to the last plate cleared.
  • Develop and implement cleaning rosters to maintain a clean hospitality environment.
  • Work with the Bar Supervisor to maintain a beverage program that is up to date, interesting, costed, and progressive.
  • Ensure accurate daily banking and billing, handle customer complaints, and maintain the highest level of visual aesthetic in all customer-facing areas.
  • Work with the Executive Chef and Senior Sous Chef to ensure food menus comply with allergy regulations and staff are trained accordingly.
  • Recruit, manage, and supervise staff across all aspects of the front of house hospitality environment.
  • Develop and deliver a hospitality environment and standard of presentation, service, and hospitality that meets high culinary standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety and allergy guidelines.
  • Ability to develop and implement cleaning rosters and maintain a clean hospitality environment.
