- Policy Development: Review and create payroll policies and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Develop plans to consistently improve the payroll function in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure payroll cycles run smoothly through effective audit practices and business partnering.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll issues and anomalies, making recommendations to control costs.
- Benefits Administration: Manage and educate staff on employee benefits, including pensions and salary sacrifice schemes.
- Training and Support: Create and contribute to management training programs to ensure effective payroll administration and leadership development.
- Project Management: Lead or contribute to payroll-related projects, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
- Qualifications: Professional qualification such as CIPP (essential).
- Experience: Significant experience leading high-volume monthly payroll and administering benefits (essential). Experience with time and attendance systems and multiple payrolls (desirable).
- Skills: Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (essential).
