We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Benefits Business Partner to join our team at Fusion Lifestyle. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll function across our diverse charity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Lead the payroll team, overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, and strategic direction.
  • Payroll Management: Handle all payroll activities, including running monthly payroll for multiple entities and managing payroll administration processes.
  • Collaboration: Work with the people team on onboarding, contractual changes, pay structures, and other related activities.
  • Policy Development: Review and create payroll policies and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop plans to consistently improve the payroll function in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Audit and Compliance: Ensure payroll cycles run smoothly through effective audit practices and business partnering.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll issues and anomalies, making recommendations to control costs.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage and educate staff on employee benefits, including pensions and salary sacrifice schemes.
  • Training and Support: Create and contribute to management training programs to ensure effective payroll administration and leadership development.
  • Project Management: Lead or contribute to payroll-related projects, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Professional qualification such as CIPP (essential).
  • Experience: Significant experience leading high-volume monthly payroll and administering benefits (essential). Experience with time and attendance systems and multiple payrolls (desirable).
  • Skills: Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (essential).
  • Attention to Detail: High standards of accuracy and ability to work with high volumes.
  • Influence and Collaboration: Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: A proactive approach to reviewing and improving processes.
