Ackerman Pierce Ltd is in search of a skilled and dedicated Interim Service Leader to oversee our Children's Placement/Brokerage Team.
This pivotal role encompasses managing a committed team responsible for identifying and securing both urgent and planned placements for children and young individuals.
The position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the challenges associated with children's social care placements and requires adaptability to provide support during extended hours when necessary.
Lead and supervise the Children's Placement/Brokerage Team, which includes one Team Manager and four brokers.
Oversee the procedures for locating and securing emergency and planned placements for children and young individuals.
Effectively manage and respond to the high-pressure demands of the role, including the necessity to extend working hours beyond the standard office schedule as required.
Provide interim support and leadership to other teams within the service portfolio, including the Care Leavers Service and Fostering, during the absence of Service Leaders.
Ensure adherence to high standards of professional practice and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and effectively meet the needs of children and families.
Drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the team and the broader service area.
Proven experience in managing children's placement services or similar roles within children's social care is essential.
A solid understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing children's social care is required.
Flexibility to work additional hours and commit to a full-time schedule, with three days working remotely and one day on-site.
