About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a progressive secondary school in Camden. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons across various subjects, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our students.
  • Student Support: Provide targeted support to students with additional learning needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Classroom Management: Contribute to a positive learning environment by supporting classroom management and maintaining a well-organized and safe classroom space.
  • Resource Preparation: Help prepare resources and assist in lesson planning, ensuring that all materials are ready for use and that lessons run smoothly.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, helping to identify areas for improvement and inform future lesson planning.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: Hold a HLTA qualification or have relevant experience working in a secondary school setting.
  • Subject Knowledge: Have a good understanding of the secondary curriculum and be able to support teachers in delivering lessons across various subjects.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Possess strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and other staff members.
