Job Summary

Zodiac Maritime is a leading international ship operating company providing a comprehensive range of management services for a diverse fleet of commercial vessels. We are seeking a highly skilled Vetting Superintendent to join our team and contribute to the success of our tanker management operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vetting Coordination
    • Work closely with Operations and Commercial teams to ensure compliance with oil companies' vetting requirements.
    • Coordinate with Technical Assistants and vessels to ensure timely receipt of documents and information.
  • Inspection Management
    • Provide necessary documents and guidance to vessels for prospective PSC, Terminal, or 3rd party inspections.
    • Assist in booking and execution of SIRE/CDI inspection programs.
  • Record Keeping and Analysis
    • Update and maintain inspection records and databases in line with TMSA.
    • Assist in root cause analysis and close-out of observations from 3rd party inspections.
  • Fleet Performance Monitoring
    • Monitor and track SIRE performance for each vessel.
    • Provide guidance to improve future performance.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of shore-based experience in a similar role within a ship management company.
    • Alternatively, a shipping background with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Ex-sea going Senior Officer/Engineer on Tankers or Shipping background with relevant experience.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of international legislation, industry standards, codes, and guidelines.
    • Commercial awareness and ability to apply sound commercial judgment.
    • Highly effective at building and sustaining relationships at multiple levels.
