Job Title: Apprentice Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Design Engineer to join our team. As an Apprentice Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of mechanical systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and components.
  2. Compile, monitor, and update project plans and status reports.
  3. Provide technical and administrative support for specific projects.
  4. Generate project procurement lists, raise project RFQs and purchase orders.
  5. Monitor and actively progress the project procurement process.
  6. Be responsible for receiving project deliveries, goods inwards approval, and assignment to the relevant project.

Requirements:

  • SVQ/NVQ level 5 or ONC/HNC (Minimum Level 4) or City & Guilds T4 or T6 in Mechanical Engineering, with a supporting EITB Approved Apprenticeship.
  • Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and the ability to apply them in an analytical and methodical approach.
  • Strong background in Design/Project Administration/Engineering.
  • Good level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks Solid Modelling would be an advantage.
