This established consultancy provides a diverse range of services to its clients, from initial feasibility studies to comprehensive design and construction management, including project oversight, acoustic evaluations, and energy assessments.

This environment allows engineers to acquire experience across various disciplines and project phases.

In response to a growing workload and a strategic expansion plan, the firm is looking for a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Services Engineer to work closely with the Associate Director, oversee projects from inception to completion, engage with clients, and support the Mechanical team.


The organization collaborates closely with developers on the client side, guiding projects from early conceptual stages through to completion and supervising on-site installations.

While the majority of their projects are in the Residential sector, they have also secured work in the Industrial, Laboratory, Educational, and Heritage sectors.

The company aims to increase its workforce significantly and is preparing to relocate to a new office space later this year.


This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with a thorough understanding of Mechanical systems to play a key role in a rapidly expanding consultancy.


As a Lead Mechanical Services Engineer, you will report to the Mechanical Associate Director and assist in the design process while managing projects from start to finish, maintaining a client-facing role.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in building services
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (HND/HNC or MSc)
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Tas, Hevacomp (Preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of Mechanical systems and the design-to-installation process
  • Experience in concept design through to detailed design and project completion
