We are seeking a proactive Field IT Support Engineer to enhance our technology capabilities across our repair facilities.

Role Summary:

In the capacity of a Field IT Support Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the optimal functionality of our essential systems utilized throughout our repair locations. This role necessitates travel to various sites, guaranteeing that our technological infrastructure operates flawlessly to support our service delivery teams. Success in this position hinges on your customer service acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and outstanding communication abilities.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure system performance aligns with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to enhance colleague satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install systems, demonstrating a high level of technical proficiency across the supported product range.
  • Collaborate on larger installation and service initiatives, working in conjunction with the broader team.
  • Aim for high first-time fix rates within your designated area through comprehensive product knowledge and effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Translate organizational strategic objectives into actionable initiatives.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills in all professional interactions.
  • Complete tasks efficiently and promptly in accordance with company protocols, consistently presenting a professional demeanor.
  • Address colleague inquiries courteously, collaborating with Support Administration and Third Parties to resolve issues.
  • Adapt to the dynamic nature of our business and be prepared to work outside standard hours when necessary.
  • Conduct site audits, health and safety responsibilities, and other duties as required, including travel and overnight stays.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Level technology qualification or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in a field engineering role.
  • Strong customer service focus with experience in fast-paced sectors (e.g., automotive, hospitality, retail, logistics).
  • Familiarity with ITIL and solid working knowledge of PCs, printers, communication devices, and networking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint; knowledge of MS365 and Microsoft Entra is advantageous.
  • Valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are essential.
  • Experience with VoIP systems deployment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively, showcasing excellent workload management and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with the capability to foster strong working relationships across various functions.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, integrity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Networking and Microsoft certifications (MCP, CCIE) are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with automotive repair systems such as Autoflow or Audatex is a plus.
  • Experience in the automotive sector or other fast-paced industries is preferred.
