About the Company:

The Downstream segment is dedicated to refining, logistics, power generation, and the marketing of crude oil, petroleum, and petrochemical products, along with related services for both international and domestic clients. Position Overview:
We are looking for a Petroleum Economics Specialist to become part of the Upstream Development Strategy & Reserves Department. This department is responsible for managing one of the largest portfolios of onshore and offshore oil and gas fields globally. The team offers high-level technical support across a comprehensive range of hydrocarbon exploration and production activities, focusing on economic optimization and innovative development solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and support on operational challenges.
  • Define design criteria and relevant operational parameters for new oil and gas project developments.
  • Engage in technical project reviews and evaluate proposals for new or modified operational procedures to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct economic assessments and cost analyses to explore alternative strategies.
  • Advise on upstream investment opportunities.
  • Perform impairment assessments on upstream assets.
  • Manage the field portfolio and prioritize projects.
  • Lead the development and refinement of guidelines for upstream economic evaluations.
  • Facilitate the professional growth of junior staff through the design and implementation of development programs.
  • Represent the organization at external technical conferences, symposiums, and forums.

Qualifications:

  • Relocation Requirement: This position necessitates the candidate to permanently relocate.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related fields; advanced degrees in Business, Petroleum Economics, Finance, or related disciplines are highly advantageous.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience acquired through reputable oil and gas consulting or exploration and production companies, with a focus on technical disciplines such as Reservoir Characterization, Petroleum Development, Business Development Planning, and Economic Evaluations.
  • Strong familiarity with geology, geophysics, drilling operations, and production processes.
  • Experience in large organizations with diverse reservoir portfolios or extensive experience in smaller firms.
  • Expertise in oil and gas reservoir development and depletion strategies.
  • Proficient in investment decision analysis, including risk assessment and strategic long-term production planning.
  • Extensive experience in presenting to executive management and large audiences.
