About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at Crisis, a leading charity dedicated to ending homelessness. As a key member of our shop team, you will play a vital role in driving sales, managing stock, and leading a team of volunteers to achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Oversee the processing, pricing, and displaying of stock to maximize sales and minimize waste
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising displays to create an engaging and attractive shopping environment
  • Work closely with local artists and universities to develop a vibrant events program and promote our shop
  • Collaborate with the shop manager to achieve sales targets, manage stock, and maintain a high level of customer service
Requirements
  • Proven retail experience at a supervisory level, with a strong understanding of visual merchandising and stock management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of volunteers
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for charity retail and a commitment to Crisis's values and mission
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
