About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team at HID. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of our CI/CD pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Testing Strategies: Develop and implement a wide range of testing techniques to support a scalable and automated CI/CD environment.
  • CI/CD Infrastructure Development: Design, build, and document new CI/CD infrastructure for new features.
  • Test Environment Management: Identify and liaise with external test facilities to cover test gaps, and make decisions regarding the Test Environment.
  • Communication and Leadership: Communicate test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and project manage and use technical leadership to achieve a team result.
  • Technical Expertise: Contribute to project and product planning discussions, understand how the product under test operates as part of a wider system, and plan and scope interoperability test requirements.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Capable of owning technical design for projects of moderate complexity, and understands the trade-offs in creating good work/output/product in their field.
  • Experience: Prior experience with designing and carrying out device testing, embedded FW, software testing, or other related testing experience, familiarity with software installation and configuration in Windows and Linux environments, and experience with SQL DB queries to validate software recording proper data and ensure participant data ingested properly prior to testing.
  • Skills: Experience with scripting, tracking software development using Jira or other similar programs, experience of Agile and Lean Methodologies, experience of testing Java applications using JUnit, TestNg, Mockito, and dbUnit, and knowledge of various test/development methodologies such as DDT, BDD, TDD, Acceptance Testing, Unit Testing and Performance/Reliability Testing.
