Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting.

Job Type:

This is a temporary, full-time position, with the option to become permanent in the future.

Salary:

£83.85 per day

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to help students develop social and emotional skills.
  • Observe and report on student behaviour patterns and progress to the relevant school staff.
  • Support the overall well-being and safety of students during school hours.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
  • Welsh language desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desired)
  • Training in positive behaviour support or similar approaches.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future.
