Job Opportunity in Acute Medicine and Palliative Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialty Doctor to join our team in Acute Medicine and Palliative Care. The successful candidate will work in the Acute Medical Admissions Unit at senior middle grade level, managing a range of acute medical problems and developing clinical leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patients as a senior decision maker under the guidance of a consultant physician
  • Develop clinical skills aligned with acute medicine and practice them regularly
  • Work with the Palliative Care team to support patients in the last three months of their life
  • Develop the post along Quality Improvement principles and present evidence for doing so

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • At the level equivalent to ST3 or higher
