Exciting Opportunity: Orthopaedic Therapy Assistant Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Orthopaedic Therapy Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide treatment and rehabilitation to patients with orthopaedic injuries, working under the direction of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Gather information from patients and their relatives/carers to inform treatment plans
  • Manage a caseload of patients, providing therapy and rehabilitation to support their recovery
  • Develop and implement interventions to support patients in achieving their goals, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to the smooth flow of patients through the hospital, ensuring timely assessments and discharge planning
  • Undertake administrative duties to support the efficient functioning of the department

To be successful in this role, you will require a Degree/Foundation Degree or equivalent knowledge and skills, as well as experience in working with health and therapy teams. Knowledge of working as a therapy or rehabilitation assistant is essential, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a must. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
