Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008
  • Develop and implement care packages and activity programs to enhance the quality of life for service users
  • Lead and supervise support teams to deliver person-centered care and promote a culture of excellence
  • Communicate effectively with team members, service users, and their families to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Understand and assist with mobility and continence needs, ensuring the dignity and comfort of service users
  • Ensure personal hygiene needs are met, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and infection control
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for service users and colleagues, adhering to health and safety regulations

Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:

  • QCF Level 3 or above in a relevant field
  • Previous Deputy Manager experience in a care setting
  • Experience in elderly care, with a strong understanding of person-centered care principles
  • Ability to assess needs and deliver individualized care plans, ensuring the unique needs of each service user are met
  • Ensure procedures are carried out to high standards, maintaining a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Optimize the wellbeing of residents, promoting a positive and supportive living environment
