About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at a global manufacturer based in Manchester. The purpose of this role is to drive change and ensure that there are automated processes with the highest levels of productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an automation strategy for the site, working closely with key internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a small team to drive manufacturing transformation and improve productivity.
  • Support strategic projects to enhance global manufacturing supply chain efficiency.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with operational support teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work with NPI to drive best practice manufacturing engineering and develop business cases for investment projects.
  • Manage and execute projects to improve productivity and reduce costs, while complying with H&S Procedures.
  • Participate in global travel to support business objectives.
Requirements
  • LEAN/Agile training and Six Sigma Qualification.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, inspection, and test technologies.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of factory management systems, data management, and integration, encompassing automation protocols, software, and network.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
