Business Development Manager Opportunity

Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. We are seeking a self-motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join our Short-Term Hire team based in Lisburn.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new customers for our Short-Term Hire department across Northern Ireland, with a focus on maximizing fleet utilization.
  • Work closely with the STH Manager and team to ensure customer needs are met daily and customer service standards are maintained.
  • Achieve volume targets for Short Term Hire (STH).
  • Manage route plans to ensure effective coverage of the account base.
  • Identify opportunities through research of industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Develop and negotiate strategies by examining risks and anticipating customer needs.
  • Closing new business deals with STH customers by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements within business operations.
  • Align knowledge gained from the local and national market to support the company and its customers.
  • Maintain and expand existing client databases.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of products and services.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Proven record in a problem-solving role.
  • Customer service-focused with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Capital equipment experience required, ideally in the material handling industry.
  • Full, clean driving license with a willingness to travel.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Results-driven.
