Senior Chemical Engineer Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement models to simulate the behavior of chemical reactors under various conditions, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage FEED projects, collaborating with the research team to troubleshoot process-related issues and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Analyze gas flow dynamics to optimize performance and efficiency, proposing innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency.
  • Design processes for temperature measurement and control within the reactor environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support efforts in syngas cleanup and carbon dioxide separation, contributing to innovation and patent applications as required.
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop and implement models to simulate the behavior of chemical reactors under various conditions.
  • Provide technical expertise to support the scaling-up of our carbon-negative technology, ensuring it meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Document all design work and process improvements meticulously, contributing to innovation and patent applications as required.

Senior Chemical Engineer Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience working on medium to large-scale projects, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • FEED project experience, with a focus on process design and optimization.
  • Strong experience in modeling and simulation of chemical processes, particularly reactor behavior, gas flows, and temperature control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Passion for sustainability and climate technology innovations, with a strong desire to contribute to a pioneering start-up.
  • Experience with ASPEN and SolidWorks is highly desired.
