Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor to join our team in the Yorkshire region and surrounding areas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the production of ready-mix concrete and screeds at multiple plants, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily safety checks and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Operate loading shovels to re-stock storage bins and manage aggregate deliveries.
  • Communicate potential hazards and near misses to the Health & Safety Department and Line Management.
  • Ensure production meets customer specifications and technical standards.
  • Manage constituent material stocks and reorder from suppliers as needed.
  • Perform daily environmental checks and record results as required.
  • Manage and control truck mixer/tipper/cement tanker drivers operating within the plant.
  • Supervise driver fleet on site and manage external contractors.
  • Maintain high standards of site housekeeping and perform daily preventative maintenance activities.
  • Provide support to the production manager and district manager as needed.
Requirements
  • General mechanical and electrical understanding of machinery equipment within the concrete plant.
  • Ability to identify faults and report accordingly.
  • Flexible, proactive, and versatile approach to work.
  • Energetic "hands-on" approach and ability to anticipate problems and consider solutions.
  • Ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues.
