Position Overview

As an Educational Support Specialist at Oak Tree School, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment for students aged 5 to 18 who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Our institution is dedicated to providing tailored educational experiences that empower each pupil to reach their full potential.

About Oak Tree School

Located in Truro, Oak Tree School has recently expanded its facilities and successfully completed an Ofsted inspection, allowing us to cater to a broader age range of students. We are a specialist SEMH provision, offering full-time co-educational support for up to 135 pupils who require a nurturing and structured approach to education.

Your Role

In this position, you will directly engage with our exceptional students, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing educational materials and facilitating classroom activities.
  • Supporting students' emotional and physical needs to promote their individual growth.
  • Implementing strategies learned through Crisis Prevention Intervention training to maintain a safe environment.

Working with pupils who have complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs is both important and fulfilling. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides extensive support, enabling students to achieve significant progress in their personal and academic lives.
