Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely, within-budget, and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership
    • Oversee the allocation of work and maintain a balanced workflow among team members.
    • Develop and nurture team members, focusing on their strengths and career growth.
    • Manage line reports, including recruitment, training, development, appraisals, and support.
    • Supervise sub-contractors and ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Project Management
    • Lead large or complex projects, encompassing supply chains, venues, and client relationships.
    • Take briefs from concept to project delivery, ensuring a high level of finish and detail.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of each project's scope.
    • Track project costs, budget allocations, and expenditure, ensuring compliance with set parameters.
    • Lead the Project Managers Meeting and liaise with the Operations team for Workshop delivery.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely project updates and scheduling.
    • Ensure adherence to company Health and Safety and CDM requirements.
    • Exceed client expectations to drive repeat business and growth.
  • Financial and Budget Management
    • Prepare weekly status reports for the Senior Management Team.
    • Manage project expenditure and third-party suppliers.
    • Monitor project profitability and feasibility.
    • Maintain project budgets and negotiate with third-party services.
  • On-Site Management
    • Oversee on-site schedules and ensure strong production values in finish and safety.
    • Act as the primary liaison between the company and clients/venues.
  • Business Development
    • Collaborate with the Commercial Director to identify new business opportunities.
    • Pitch for new business and develop relationships with potential clients.
    • Provide exceptional client liaison and maintain a high standard of communication.
    Requirements
    • A highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record in delivering event construction projects.
    • Extensive experience in a similar role within the events construction industry.
    • Proven ability to successfully manage a team.
    • Flexibility to travel to project sites.
    • Excellent coordination skills and ability to multitask.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
    • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
