Key Responsibilities- Provide Primary Care Services: Manage a caseload, conduct consultations, and deal with a range of health needs in a primary care setting.
- Prescribe Medications: Prescribe medications in accordance with the local formulary and ensure the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
- Collect Data and Reports: Collect data for audit, compliance, and target purposes, and ensure timely completion of associated paperwork, reports, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary primary care team to achieve high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Experience: Experience of working as a GP in primary care, certification of completion of training, inclusion on Performers' List, and evidence of continual personal and professional development.
- Knowledge and Understanding: Understanding of the role of primary care services in the wider public health agenda, knowledge of the demographic characteristics that affect health and social care in the area.
- Personal Qualities and Skills: Clinical effectiveness and efficiency, commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team, good IT skills as relevant to General practice, commitment to quality and patient satisfaction, and experience of using EMIS Web and Docman.
This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
