Teaching Opportunity at Leigh Academies Trust

We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Humanities to join our academy from January 2025. As a member of our collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to work with highly experienced teachers and leaders in the department.

The successful candidate will specialise in History and/or Geography up to KS5 with the ability to cover both up to KS4. Our academy offers a supportive student experience and works closely with other departments and pastoral teams to ensure an enjoyable education for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach History and/or Geography up to KS5 and cover both subjects up to KS4
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student attainment and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods
  • Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the development of the Humanities department and curriculum
