Job Description

Job Title: Academic Leader of Humanities

Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Academic Leader of Humanities to join our team at Leigh Academies Trust. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for leading and developing our Humanities curriculum, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education in History and Geography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Humanities curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and policies
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality lessons
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure they are informed about their child's progress

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of leading and managing a team of teachers
  • Excellent knowledge of Humanities curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Ability to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
