Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Academic Leader of Humanities to join our team at Leigh Academies Trust. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for leading and developing our Humanities curriculum, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education in History and Geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Humanities curriculum that meets the needs of our students
- Lead and manage a team of teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and policies
- Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies
- Provide guidance and support to teachers to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality lessons
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure they are informed about their child's progress
Requirements:
- Proven experience of leading and managing a team of teachers
- Excellent knowledge of Humanities curriculum and assessment strategies
- Ability to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
