Job Type: Contract

Location: Edinburgh (1 day per week) with travel to other sites

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Training Specialist to join our team at Head Resourcing. As an IT Training Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and delivering training programs to support the rollout of a new EPOS solution across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Needs Assessment: Conduct surveys, interviews, and analysis of job functions to assess training needs.
  • Training Plan Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive training plan to ensure all users are proficient in using the new system.
  • Hands-on Training Sessions: Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, both in-person and remotely for diverse audiences, including end-users, administrators, and technical staff.
  • Training Materials Development: Develop and update training materials, including manuals, guides, and video tutorials.
  • Customized Training Programs: Customize training programs to meet the specific needs of the end users.
  • Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support and follow-up training as needed.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the product development team to stay updated on new features and enhancements.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software training.
  • Proven Experience: Demonstratable proven experience in delivering training both face-to-face and remotely.
  • Strong Experience: Strong experience in creating training materials, including videos.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Concept Simplification: Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver them in an understandable manner.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Contractor Experience: Experience of working with contractors and 3rd party providers.
