Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Officer to join our team at Bupa. As a Fire Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of our properties with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough fire safety risk assessments and surveys to safeguard our premises.
- Liaise with property managers to implement fire safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out post-fire inspections and provide guidance on necessary actions.
- Be responsible for all fire safety aspects, including fire door surveys and fire safety equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Regulations – Approved Document B and CLG Fire Safety Guides.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Full UK driving license.
- Knowledge of various British Standards regarding fire safety, including BS 5839, BS 5266, BS 5306, BS 9251, and BS 9999.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Fire Safety Modules or individual subjects, including fire risk assessment qualification, obtained from the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh.
- Fire safety studies foundation degree or Fire engineering degree.
- Graduate or Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers or similar.
