The Selwood Limited Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Director of Procurement to drive the procurement transformation and lead the procurement function to a more centre-led operation. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive procurement strategy that supports all global business units and entities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
- Manage the procurement and supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
- Monitor and determine the most cost-effective levels of finished goods and raw materials inventory.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across key processes, technology, products, services, and experiences.
- Lead strategic cost optimisation efforts through people, process improvements, technology, products, services, and experiences.
- Ensure robust governance and controls by establishing policies and procedures for all procurement activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain team.
- Lead change management initiatives and drive transformative changes in support of strategic and operational objectives.
- Adept at working with ambiguity and change, with experience working for a scale-up business.
- Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain, with demonstrable experience as an effective member of a senior leadership team.
- Expertise in procurement within a manufacturing, equipment rental or construction-related industries is favourable.
- Able to craft a clear vision and sourcing roadmap with advanced technology embedded.
- Exceptional and effective cross-functional collaborator, both internally and externally with strategic suppliers.
- Proven track record of leading a regional/global procurement function.
- Experience working with sourcing tools including Spend Analytics, Contract Management and P2 P platforms.
- Broad experience in direct manufacturing categories and indirect category spend.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
