Engineering Manager for Manufacturing Operations

Dover Precision Components is on the lookout for an Engineering Manager specializing in manufacturing processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and guide the manufacturing and process engineering teams. Reporting directly to the plant manager, your leadership will be crucial in developing CNC programs, coordinating tooling and fixtures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Manufacturing Engineering team in the creation and planning of CNC programming
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine optimal manufacturing strategies
  • Offer support and direction to production and engineering teams
  • Foster a positive workplace culture while enhancing team skills and performance
  • Implement Manufacturing Engineering KPIs to enhance departmental outcomes
  • Identify and resolve issues related to BOM, routing, and CNC programming
  • Specify tooling requirements and coordinate with procurement on supplier relations
  • Promote continuous improvements in manufacturing methodologies
  • Contribute to a collaborative and empowering work environment

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience in precision engineering manufacturing
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role with people management responsibilities
  • Proficient in both Offline and On-machine programming of CNC equipment
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication abilities
  • Capability to drive change using Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement practices
